Tej Prakash served in the British Army for 13 years, arriving in Hong Kong not as an outsider building a business, but as someone who understood the city, its standards, and its communities from the inside.
In 2002, he was awarded the Birendra Aishwarya Sewa Padak (B.A.S.P.) by His Majesty the King of Nepal, and the Suprabal Gorkha Dakxin Bahu III (S.G.D.B. III) in 2004 — honours recognising over two decades of service to Nepal and its people.
He holds senior positions across the region’s business and diplomatic communities: President of the Hong Kong-Nepalese Business Association, Full Member of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Honorary Trade Representative of the Nepal-China Chamber of Commerce for Sichuan Province, and Executive Member of the One Belt One Road Euro Asia Limited.
He founded The Gurkhas Group in 1997. The operating principles have never changed.
